PR2 1SG

We start outside the Whistle Stop Café at the UCLan Arena and head towards Ashton on Ribble following the Millennium link. We follow the river Ribble along the docks to Avenham Park and then onto Brockholes. We have a break at Brockholes before re-joining the route through woodlands and Midgery Lane. We will then head to the village of Broughton on the segregated path to reach Cottam and return to the arena.

The Guild Wheel is a 21 mile circular route. The route is mainly off-road and traffic free, providing a scenic and safe cycling route. The Wheel is a great way to make the most of the many forms of landscapes that make this city what it is - by rambling river and canal sides to ancient woodland, city centre parkland, historic docklands and attractive nature reserves..

The majority of the Guild Wheel is traffic free and includes short sections of quiet roads and shared paths.

We will stop for a break along the route at Brockholes, where you can but a drink or snack, or if you prefer bring your own.

A suitable bike, helmet and waterproofs/suitable clothing. You should also bring a spare inner tune in case of punctures. Water and a snack.

We never leave anyone behind
