(0) ReviewsThis is a lovely route and although there are hills, none is too steep and you'll be rewarded with views.
Most of the lanes are very quiet, although the road back through North Cliffe and south Cliffe is busier.
Everyone can stop to catch their breath and have a drink whenever they want and there will be stops along the way, too. The rule is that everyone goes up hills at their own pace - and my advice is that a slow pace is best - admire the roadside flowers as you climb! The plan is to have something to eat at the Fiddle Drill.
Helmets are advisable, as are gloves. Please bring an inner tube and pump for your bike, a drink and money for refreshments. Additional info arising from the covid pandemic: Leaders have been told only to touch participants' bikes as a last resort. If everyone could check their bikes extra carefully before coming, it would be great. British Cycling's Commuting bike check video is good : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V66yzbrZxvY. We'll meet outside the gates to Hotham Hall on Nordham. There's a pull-in with some parking nearby.
