Guide dogs for the Blind charity bike ride

This is an opportunity for Sky Ride Leaders, Breeze Champions, and confident riders to mix with club riders on a charity ride. The lovely mix of friendly riders and assorted bikes will be an interesting aspect to this ride, and also the picturesque Cheshire countryside of Tarporley, Beeston and Peckforton to provide a chocolate box backdrop of thatched cottages and castles. It will be an exciting event too where some of the best racing cyclists in the country, including National Champions, will mix with our own Sky Ride and Breeze riders! Add to that some beautiful guide dogs, and plenty of children eating locally made ice-cream, and I think you will agree it will be a fantastic atmosphere! We will have local dignitaries and reporters to support the event. Plenty of photo opportunities too. You can arrange for family and friends to meet with you at Tattenhall at 12.00am if you wish. You can join members of Weaver Valley Cycling Club, including beginners, children and new members taking an enjoyable route of about 45 miles at 14 mph average speed through the beautiful Cheshire Countryside, or you can join me in leading a Breeze ride which will take an easier 12 -13 mph, and a more direct scenic route. We will all meet up together at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm for lunch to share our experience. Contributions to the charity will be welcome at the farm, and any contributor will be offered free refreshments. We will be riding for a fantastic charity, and the WVCC are delighted that we can join them. Children are invited, but I would expect them to be about 14 years old and accompanied by an adult. They should be experienced enough to step up to 30 miles on the road. Any bike can be acceptable, but the majority of bikes will be road/racing bikes.
