A circular route that heads to Halsall village from the start at Dobbies and then on towards Ormskirk via Asmall Lane, Aughton Park, Stanley Gate and to Paloma Forrest Nurseries at Bickerstaffe where we will take our break. The return route is via Westhead, Burscough, Burscough Bridge, (too cold for ‘I Scream’?!...or is it!) Bescar, Scarisbrick and back to our starting point at Dobbies.

A circular 28 mile route for our group Halloween Ride from Southport to Paloma Forrest Nurseries at Bickerstaffe. Ride if you dare!

The majority of the route is on hard surfaced main roads and perhaps some canal side cycle paths (weather permitting) and suitable for most bikes.

We will visit Paloma Forrest Nurseries at Holly Farm, Ormskirk Old Road, Bickerstaffe, Ormskirk for our refreshment break which we understand will be decorated appropriately for our visit! Pumpkin soup, ghoulash or spooky snack anyone?!

All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required). Don't forget some money for the cafe stop and of course feel free to 'bling' up your bike and dress appropriately for the theme for the ride.

This is a themed ride and we hope that all riders will dress for the occasion and join in the fun! There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way and at Paloma Forest Nurseries which we understand will be decorated for the occasion. We want everyone to enjoy this very friendly group ride so it will be at a pace to suit all riders in the group and to take account of the weather conditions (usually between 9-11 mph). We will never leave anyone behind and we want everyone to enjoy the ride!
