Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre

Join us for a 14 mile ride round Grizedale Forest exploring the Silurian Way cycle trail and the sculptures that can be found along the route. This route if on forest roads so is suitable for both mountain bikes and hybrids. It does include hills but the views are worth the effort of the climbs. Due to the nature of the route this ride is not really suitable for beginners. After the ride we will have a well deserved cake in the cafĂ© at the visitors centre. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. The aim of the ride is to have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable to cycle in and suitable for the weather conditions. It is a good idea to bring a spare inner tube, a waterproof jacket, a snack and a bottle of water. We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet. If you have any questions about this ride then you can e mail us at [email protected] or see our Facebook pages for more information:
