Starting point

CA11 0TP

Greystoke Village car park.

Join us for a 20 mile ride from Greystoke.  This will be a  ride on the road exploring the villages around Greystoke, near Penrith.  We will finish with a cake and coffee at the Cycle Cafe in Greystoke, a well earned reward. This ride will not be suitable for beginners due to the length and hilly nature of the route.  The route is all on good tarmac roads and will be suitable for all bike types. We will start from the car park in Greystoke and will cycle along quiet B roads.  During the ride we will pass through the villages of Blencow, Newton Reigny, Skelton, Ellonby, Lamonby, Johnby and then return to Greystoke via Hutton Roof and Berrier .  There are stunning views of the Pennines and the Lakeland Fells on this route and we will also get to see Blencow Hall.  We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.  Our aim is for everyone to enjoy their ride and to enjoy their cake at the end. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable to cycle in.  It is a good idea to bring a spare inner tube, a waterproof jacket and a bottle of water and a snack.  We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet.
