Greenwich Maritime are celebrating 20 years of UNESCO World Heritage Site status with a light show. http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/news/article/896/maritime_greenwich_celebrates_20_years_of_unesco_world_heritage_site_status Starting at Dartford Station we head to towards the start of the Thames Path at Erith we will follow the Thames Path all the way to Greenwich only using the roads where there is a break in the path and a diversion off the area of the path that is closed just after the O2. I propose a walk under the Thames via the Greenwich foot tunnel as the north side offers a spectacular view to Greenwich.y The route back will be more direct and will be a mix of road and cycle paths or you may wish to catch a train back from either Greenwich or Blackheath. The forecast is promising sun for Tuesday so we should be lucky and see a beautiful sunset over London City. Remember to bring some snacks, lights, spare inner tubes there are are some rough areas along the path though the worst part has now been tarmacked.
