Join us on this easy 4.8 mile ride on the Spen Valley Greenway between Bradford and Cleckheaton. This greenway ride boasts great views, trailside sculptures and statues, without the inconvenience of traffic, beginning at Victoria Park on Cleckheaton Road, Bradford. The greenway follows the path of the former Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway – keen-eyed individuals will spot the LYR boundary stones and other artefacts from this line. It has recently been converted into a dedicated cycle track, part of Sustrans' National Cycle Network Route 66 from Dewsbury to Low Moor. The current track is a freshly laid one and is a nice, steady route with not too many uphill challenges. There's a stopping point at Tesco in Cleckheaton, where you'll turn back for Bradford.
