Grasmere to Ambleside Along the Lake Shore Trail - 9 miler

Come and try this stunning ride using the newly upgraded bridleway along Grasmere Lake shoreline. Starting in the picturesque Grasmere village, this route quickly leaves the noise of the village behind and picks up the new Grasmere Lake and Rydal Water shore cycleway where you will really get to enjoy the beauty of the area.  After a good 3 mile of cycling you come to a natural stopping point for a breather and to enjoy the views before making your way back to Grasmere where upon completion of the ride you can enjoy a well-earned cup of tea in one of the lovely Grasmere cafes.  Please be aware that this route does contain some short sharp bumps with the possible need to dismount along the way as the bridleway is upgraded.
