SA4 3AJ

We start at the car park at Gowerton traffic lights and then follow national cycle route 4 to join the Millennium Coast Path and cycle to Burry Port. We return along the same route, stopping for refreshments at North Dock or Penclacwydd wildfowl centre.

Apart from a couple of miles at the start and finish, the route is mainly tragic free along the millennium coast path.

There are no planned routes other than a coffee stop; we will however stop as necessary to take a breather, and if anyone wants photos along the route.

Riders are advised to wear helmets, wear clothing appropriate to the weather, and ensure that bikes are in good working order. We will be stopping for refreshments on the way back, so please bring money for teas/coffees. Also, bring any refreshments you might need on route. A pump, spare inner tube and lock for your bike are always useful. As a lot of the route is on gravel surface, the ride is not particularly suited to thin wheeled road bikes. All other bikes are appropriate, including e bikes and fold ups.

This is a lovely route along the Burry estuary, and is predominantly flat. As the route is 27miles long, it is more suited to riders that have some bike experience. We try to stick to gether as a group, ensuring that nobody is left behind. It is meant to be sociable experience and newcomers are always welcome.
