This is a leisure ride. We will not be going too fast but we try to maintain a minimum speed on the move of 10 mph. From Burnside, we head for Cuningar Loop, along the Clyde to Glasgow and over the Govan Bridge. Onwards to Pollok Park and Newlands Park for a stop at the Dandelion Café. And then on to Queens Park and the South City Way into Glasgow to return to Burnside via Rutherglen.

After cycling from Burnside to Cuningar Loop, this urban route uses mainly quiet roads and cycle paths.

This is Scotland and as we all know, the weather can be ‘variable’. Please check the forecast before leaving and come prepared. If the weather looks to be really terrible, the ride is likely to be cancelled.

First-timers welcome but please check the anticipated cycle speed.
