Golden Acre countryside explorer, through Eccup, Weeton and Pool in Wharfdale 22 miles

The route is for those who are happy to do a few hills, we will go through the beautiful countryside just north of Eccup and Bramhope.
The route starts in the car park, we will go right onto Otley Road and turn left on the Leeds Country way bridlepath alongside the Mecure Hotel, at the end of this path we will cross over a Arthington Lane and go up King Lane and turn left onto Eccup Lane. We ride passed the back of The Harewood estate through Weardley and turn right to make our way round to the Bottlom of Harewood Bank turning left onto Harrogate Road, across the bridge and then left to Weston. There is a long winding hill through the village and beautiful countryside. We then go left through to Castley which eventually leads down to the A658 at Pool in Wharfedale near the petrol station. Straight on across this road onto Leathley Lane, the. Left onto Farnley Park. There is a big hill on this road, so a bit of a challenge, At the end of the road, turn left onto Farnley Lane and go down the hill into Otley, left at the bottom onto Billams Hill and into Otley. We will be stopping at one of the cafes for a well earned rest. Then head through Otley upto Bondgate and then left to go in the direction of Otley Road, straight on at the roundabout up the long hill through the traffic lights and onto Bramhope, then keep going straight on at the roundabout and back to Golden Acre Park. This ride is a challenge, but very rewarding and most of the roads very quiet or wide.
