A lovely longer ride via county lanes to the picture perfect coffee shop on Shaftesbury's Gold Hill with views of "Hovis Hill" - where the famous Hovis Bread ad was filmed. We'll break up the ride into achievable chunks; a coffee stop in Marnhull around the 18mile mark before light lunch in Shaftesbury at the 30mile mark.  We’ll incorporate another rest during the final 17miles back to Horningsham. This is a fairly undulating ride with some ups & downs from the start and a couple of long ascents into Shaftesbury. We will ride at 9-11miles per hour and take 2 to 3 short roadside rests as and when we need them.  We’ll pace ourselves to the slowest rider.  Nobody gets left behind! This ride would be good for someone who is already comfortable riding 30miles but would like a bit more of a challenge and an interesting ride.  A change from the Wylye Valley.  When we did this ride in March - we spent about 5.5hrs cycling and 6.5 hours in total on the ride. It’s a really do-able 47miles; pretty, very quiet lanes and a great adventure into Dorset to prove how achievable 47miles are on a Breeze Ride. Some of the views from Cucklington and the Blackmore Vale as well as the famous Gold Hill (Hovis Bread advert filmed here) are wonderful. See the link below for the route. https://goo.gl/maps/pWjg8 As always, please ensure your bike is fully functioning; tyres pumped up, brakes working and chain nicely lubed.  Carry a spare inner tube, some layers, water bottle; money for cake and lunch as well as snacks for the roadside rests.  I love 9-Bars – they are tasty, wholesome and natural and really give you some energy to carry on.  A few nuts and dried fruit also work well. Any questions, please contact me on 07779 121228 or email on [email protected] Hope to see you on the road,  Cheers, Caroline
