Go Ape in Apedale

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Starting out from Apedale Heritage Centre there is a magnificent view across Staffordshire. Turning right out of the car park, we are soon onto quiet country lanes. We will pass through a number of small villages and will make our first stop in the lovely historic village of Audlem at approx 13 miles.  There is ample opportunity for another stop on the way back as we pass through many more villages with farm shops & pass by many inviting picnic areas.  There are a couple of busier roads on the route but they have plenty of room and are only short-lived.
