Gliding to Gumley

Leaving Bowden behind us we'll cycle over the canal and then cross the main road together. We'll cycle past the prison and then turn left, cycling over the canal again. After a further left turn we'll take a loop through Laughton and the Gumley cricket ground before returning to Bowden the way we came.

Even though we're close to Nov 5th, this will be a gentle ride with no fireworks or storming up hills! We'll be able to enjoy the autumnal countryside and raising our pulses a little.

We ride on quiet country lanes with little traffic.

We'll stop for breathers and a drink along the way and there is the opportunity to enjoy refreshments together at the end of the ride.

You must wear a helmet on this ride. It's also a good idea to bring a water bottle and a spare inner tube just in case!

We ride at a gentle pace, chatting as we go and we never leave anyone to struggle on their own. All types of bikes and all types of riders are very welcome.
