The route will leave from Glasgow City Centre, using busy main roads. As we head out towards Drumpellier Park there is likely to be trafic also.
The roads turn to more country road as we head over to Kilsyth via Twechar. Please be aware that though these may be quieter there will still be the potential for both traffic, horses and walkers. Tak Ma Doon road is both steep and has area of poor surface, caution is advised, particularly on the descents.
After the Tak we head north towards Callander, predominantly country roads, though there may be less frequent traffic what we do encounter may be travelling fast. Please be aware. In Callander we will stop for food.
After Callander it is up over the Dukes Pass, this is a busy tourist road where we are likely to encounter traffic. The surface is predominantly good condition however caution is still advised. This is the same for the roads we will use as we head over to Fintry where we take on Scotland's classic, the Crow Road and for the rest of the ride through Strathblane where we will look to stop again at The Kirkhouse Inn and our final climb at Blanefield, Cuilt Brae.
As we head back in to Glasgow via Bearsden/Milngavie the roads will become busier, again please be aware.
