This ride starts from the car park at Centurion Way retail park, Bentley, with meet up time at 9.30am and ride departing at 9.45am.

For the Get Doncaster Cycling campaign 2016, a mix of on and off road riding. We will be leaving Centurion Way retail park car park at 9.45am and heading to Hunt Lane then Ings Road Bentley, where it changes from tarmac to off road, leading us to Fowler Bridge Road bringing us back into Bentley near to the roundabout on the A19. Heading down to Arksey from the roundabout we then take another off road trail exit from the tarmac along Hemp Pits Road before joining Ings Lane. This we will follow as far as Comon Lane (Almholme) where we exit onto Common Lane and head into Almholme before joining The Balk, an off road track that leads us eventually to Shaftholme level crossing. Back on tarmac wwe ride along Shaftholme Lane as far as the bridge and exit onto the Trans Pennine Trail, which we then follow to Jossey Lane. At this point we pick up Doncaster Greenway and follow this to Pipering Lane using this to take us across Scawthorpe and eventually depositing us onto Roman Ridge and the final part of our return to the start point of the ride. ------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT INFO FOR PARTICIPANTS! Make sure you wear your helmet (this is compulsory, if you have no helmet you wont be able to ride with us) and appropriate clothing for the weather (if you have any bright or hi-viz then wear that). As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre ride checks; you should also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump, and tools to enable you to change a tube if necessary. Dont forget too to bring money for refreshments and a mobile 'phone.
