In the Rangers car park at the traffic light junction between Commonside and Bryce Road, Brierley Hill

Start from Rangers car park at Dell Stadium. Ride on to canal towpath heading towards Wordsley (care over and under bridges). At bridge and locks before Brierley Hill Road, ride over bridge to continue along the canal towpath through Hawbush and under the (very low) bridge at Brettell Lane. Continue along the canal towpath to the track leading to Sainsburys and take the cycle track behind the store – care there is a long steep incline. Continue along the cycle track, taking care when crossing residential roads. Dismount and wheel bikes over pedestrian bridge crossing over the railway line and then take care on long descent down to the A491, including crossing another residential road. Turn left and take the subway under Stourbridge Ring Road and walk to the track alongside the Bonded Warehouse. After riding along the cobbled and uneven track, join the canal towpath passing the landscaping by the Lion Health Centre. Take care on the steep inclines over two canal bridges and continue until reaching Coalbournbrook bridge. Exit the canal towpath and walk with bikes along the pavement to the Ruskin Glass Centre where we shall stop for refreshments. Rejoin the canal towpath, heading towards Wordsley to Ashwood Marina where care over the canal bridge between Stourbridge Arm Canal and the main canal. Continue towards Wordsley, taking care under bridges to pass under the A491 at Red House Cone. Continue, taking care over steep bridge to the road bridge at Mill Lane and continue climbing past the locks by Dadfords Yard. Care at the bridge under Brierley Hill Road (walk) and then continue towards Pensnett and Dell stadium along the canal towpath.

This ride will be run in conjunction with Age UK Dudley’s Get Cycling for 50 Plus and riders will be asked to make a £3.00 donation to take part in the ride.
