DY6 8AY

Start in Park Lane, Kingswinford (off the A4101) where there is a small car park by the entrance to King George VI Park.

This is an undulating 13.5 mile route in Staffordshire lanes.

The ride starts from King George VI park in Kingswinford and goes through the park to Water Street and on residential roads crossing the A491 and through housing to Swindon Road. Turn left then right at traffic lights along Lodge Lane to meet the A449. Take care crossing this main road and go straight across to ride along the track that comes out at the bottom of Doctor’s Lane. Turn right onto Ashwood Lower Lane and cross the marina and turn left to pass the Navigation Inn. Ignore Camp Hill and Greensforge Lane and take the lane uphill between the two. Descend to Enville Common Road and take first right to a crossroads where go straight across along Morfe Lane. Take the first turning right along a narrow, winding lane, passing Pool House Farm where take sharp left at junction along Mere Lane. Turn right on to Lutley Lane towards Bobbington and then Leaton Lane, passing Leaton Hall to the T-juntion. Turn right along Crab Lane and stop for refreshments at Wolverhjampton, Halfpenny Green Airport at the Navigator Café.

On the return journey, turn left out of the airport along Crab Lane, turning right at T-junction at the top of the climb. Then turn left on to Camp Hill Road and, after a pleasant undulating ride beside the common and woodland, climb to the top of Camp Hill (steep at the top). Re-group just after the crossroads at the top and enjoy an exhilarating descent to meet Greensforge Lane and the Navigation Inn – care at the bottom of the descent at the T-Junction.

Retrace the outward journey along the track, taking care crossing the A449 and then taking residential roads back to King George VI Park.

This Breeze ride is delivered in conjunction with Age UK Dudley’s ‘Get Cycling for 50 Plus’ project and participants are asked to make a donation of £3.00 each.
