Starting point

DY6 8AY

King George VI Park (Near Bowling Green) Park Lane KINGSWINFORD

Using residential roads to leave Kingswinford and join Lodge Lane at the traffic lights, cross the A449 on to a farm track to meet the bottom of Doctor's Lane.  Turn right on to Ashwood Lower Lane to cross the marina and left to the Navigation Inn. Bear left but not sharp left to climb long, steady hill and drop down to turn left onto Enville Common Road, then turn right on to Morfe Lane, crossing straight over Highgate Road. Turn at first right along quiet, winding lane passing a farmyard and then a sharp right turn over Philley Brook and up a short hill. Turn sharp left along Mere Lane and right at farm at Lutley Lane.  Follow this for nearly a mile and follow it around to the right onto Leaton Lane, ignoring Church Lane on the left.  Continue to meet Crab Lane where turn right and shortly left to the cafe at Halfpenny Green Airport. On the return, turn left out of the airport on to Crab Lane, turn right where it meets Gospel Ash Road and left on to Camp Hill Road.  There will now be a long gradual climb, getting steeper as it reaches the top and a cross roads.  After catching you breath, keep in the same direction and enjoy an exhilerating down hill ride, taking care at the bottom when meeting Greensforge Lane.  Ride past the Navigation Inn and follow the road around the start of the Mile Flat but turn right onto the island that will lead on to Ashwood Lower Lane and retrace the outward journey back to King George VI Park in Kingswinford. As this ride is delivered through the charity of Age UK Dudley, we ask for a donation of £1.50 per rider. Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle, introduce a second friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze Buffs, and introduce a third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.
