Start from Mary Stevens Park, cross Stanley Road and on to path across football ground to Beech Road. Cross A451 onto Whittington Road, turn left into Eveson Road, left on to The Broadway and then right on to Sugar Loaf Lane. This is a long drag of a hill to the top with fine views on a good and a pleasant windy descent to Beech Tree lane. Turn left and then straight across A451 on Stakenbridge Lane. There is a shortish climb and then a descent to a crossroads (care) followed a short distance later by a sharp bend under a railway line. At the next crossroads turn right on to Stoney Lane and thn cross the busy A456 Birmingham Road to Broome Lane. Cross the A450 Worcester Road (busy) and continue along Broome Lane into the pretty village. Follow Broome Lane to the next crossroads (with a track on the left). Turn right to Holy Cross Green and left at the 5-ways junction to Clent Nurseries to stop for refreshments. Go to the roundabout and take first left on to Broome Lane and when reaching the crossroads, turn right onto the track (uneven surface to Field House, then tarmac). Turn left on to Western Road and walk across busy Kidderminster Road on to Worcester Road. Climb hill through Hagley and go straight over at traffic lights then turn left along Appleton Avenue and left again on to Love Lane. Turn left down Stanley Road and return to Mary Stevens Park. Participants will be asked to make a donation of £3.00 for Age UK Dudley.
