Starting point

DY8 2AA

By the Bandstand in the middle of the park. There is car parking available by the football field on Stanley Road.

An undulating route along residential roads and country lanes. We leave Mary Stevens Park and cross the football pitch to Beech Road then across the pelican crossing to Whittington Road, Eveson Road and The Broadway. Turning right to Sugar Loaf Lane there is a long steady climb to the top of the hill followed by a winding descent to meet Beech Tree Lane. Turn left and cross Stourbridge Road (A451) onto Stakenbridge Lane – climbs first then drops down to a crossroads at Churchill. Care – this lane can be quite busy. Turn right after double bend to meet Birmingham Road (A456). Cross this road (with care) on to Broome Lane to meet the Worcester Road (A450). Cross (with care) to continuation of Broome Lane and ride around this pretty village. Continue on Broome Lane to crossroads (track on left) where turn right to Holy Cross Green. At 5-ways junction turn left to stop for refreshments at Clent Nurseries. Turn left and go to roundabout where turn left onto Broome Lane and take the track to pass Field House, turning left at the end onto Western Road. Use pedestrian crossings in Hagley to join Worcester Lane uphill out of the village. Turn left along Cobham Road, Love Lane and Stanley Road to return to Mary Stevens Park. Total distance 11½ miles. As this is a ride for the charity of Age UK Dudley, rides are asked to give a donation of £1.50 to participate.
