Looking to get back on your bike, build cycling confidence, fitness and have some fun?... then this is the ride series for you. Our guided ride starts and finishes at Redlands Leisure & Community Park (Dorchester Rd, Weymouth DT3 5AW) where there is plenty of free parking, toilets and easy access from all the Weymouth cycle paths. We will have access to the new cycleway and then head out for a short (sub 5 miles) ride following mostly traffic free cycle paths, giving everybody a chance to get used to being back in the saddle. The aim of the ride is to have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well as ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others.

As it is winter, our refreshment stop will be at the end of the ride, to ensure riders don't get too cold on route. However, we can always stop on route as required to re-group, have a drink, put on more layers – (as it’s winter)!

In preparation, please always ensure your bike is fit & safe to ride before participating, tyres are correctly inflated, gears and brakes are working effectively. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable to cycle in and suitable for the weather conditions. Please bring a spare inner tube, a waterproof jacket, a snack and a bottle of water/juice. If there is a planned café stop, you will need a lock for your bike and if you wish to buy refreshments, please bring some means of payment. We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet and lights are often necessary when winter riding
