Geoff's Surprise Ride

https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit? mid=z3CzHsHm70UU.kKzQ46UoY0vM Geoff’s Surprise Ride to Wigfield Farm via the Timberland trail, Starting from Old Moor RSPB Centre (S73 0YF) we will ride along the TPT to Elsecar (Comfort break if required). After crossing the Elsecar Reservoir via the dam wall we will join the Timberland trail towards Tankersley Church, Birdwell and then descending towards Worsbrough Reservoir. This ride is mainly off road but has a short section of main road. The return journey is much shorter and follows the TPT for the entire journey back to Old Moor. The ride is approx 18 miles and you should allow approx, 3.5 Hours including Cafe stop, the route may vary slightly depending on the current weather conditions. Make sure you wear your helmet (this is compulsory, if you have no helmet you wont be able to ride with us) and appropriate clothing for the weather (if you have any bright or hi-viz then wear that). As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre ride checks. We do not profess to be trained ride leaders but do have experience of doing so.
