This is a gentle paced route using redways and local minor roads. We ride at the pace of the group and no-one ever gets left behind. There will be a few gentle hills but none too steep or difficult.
We will start in Broughton, meeting in the open space outside the KuKu Cafe where free car parking is available if required. We will set off along Countess Way, a short section along Newport Road then into Magna Park where will will use the Redways taking us under the A421 into the new Wavendon development and on to Lower End Road. We then head to Salford, up to Cranfield and take Folly Lane to North Crawley. We then head towards Bourne End and to the Bike Bus for our refreshment stop. There is indoor seating on the bus, or outdoor seating with blankets provided! Cash or card can be used on the Bus. Suitably refreshed, we head back to Broughton via Cranfield and Salford.
Please wear a helmet and bring a spare pump and inner tube with you, and ensure your bike is well maintained before heading out for the ride. Remember to bring a bottle of water too to keep hydrated, even in the winter weather.
You will be riding under the guidance of a British Cycling trained Ride leader and Breeze Champion.
Out of courtesy for others, please do not attend if you have any Covid symptoms such as a persistent cough or high temperature, or if you have come into contact with anyone with these symptoms.
I look forward to meeting you and please do message me in advance if you have any questions. Kind regards. Jane
