WEATHER DEPENDENT
This is a gentle paced route (around 880 feet of elevation) which will be suitable for women looking to challenge themselves a little bit. We will go at the pace of the group and no one ever gets left behind! This ride will be on the road, but we will will ride on pretty quiet country roads. The ride is not completely flat, we have some gentle undulations but nothing at all daunting! and we ride at the pace of the group.
We will start in Newport Pagnell, in the carpark opposite the Fire Station, where free parking is available. We will use minor roads up Linford Lane, then through Gayhurst, onto Hanslope, Hartwell before our stop at Salcey Forest at just over 10 miles.
There is a Grounds cafe and toilets at Salcey Forest.
http://www.aecatering.co.uk/grounds-salcey/The Covid tier rules for Tier 2 allow us to ride in a group of 6 outdoors and socialise at the outdoor seating at the cafe. But we will keep a social distance.
We then return through Hanslope, Castlethorpe, Haversham back to Newport Pagnell.
Our rides are for all - we ride together at a pace that suits everyone and no one is ever left behind. We will pause to catch our breath as needed.
Please wear a helmet and bring a spare inner tube and pump, please ensure your bike is well maintained. Always a good idea to bring water.
You will be riding under the guidance of a British Cycling trained Ride Leader and Breeze Champion.
This is a covid secure ride which means that we will keep our distance from each other. Please also bring along a face covering and some hand sanitizer. You are NOT required to wear a face covering while riding . Out of courtesy for others, please do not attend if you are showing any covid symptoms such as a persistent cough or high temperature, or if you have come into contact with anyone with these symptoms.
I look forward to meeting you and please do message me in advance if you have any questions at all. All the best, Ann
