This is a gentle paced route which will be suitable for women looking to challenge themselves a little bit. We will go at the pace of the group and no one ever gets left behind!
This ride will be on a combination of redways and road, but we will ride on pretty quiet country roads.
We will start in Stony Stratford in the Cofferidge Close carpark where free parking is available. If you can not find parking here there is also free parking in the Horn Lane carpark, a 1 minute cycle away. We meet outside Budgens.
The first 6 miles of our ride will be on well surfaced redway (suitable for road bikes) up to Kingsmead and then we will join the road and head to Whaddon, it is there only a few miles to Mursley Farm Shop.
The return will be on a different route, back through Whaddon and then down through The Wealds which brings us out at Stony Stratford.
Mursley Farm Shop has recently been refurbished and welcomes cyclists. There is both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating and toilets available. Do bring a lock though in case we decide to sit indoors. They are also known for their amazing ice-cream!
https://www.facebook.com/mursleyfarmshop/Our rides are for all - we ride together at a pace that suits everyone and no one is ever left behind. We will pause to catch our breath as needed.
Please wear a helmet and bring a spare inner tube and pump, please ensure your bike is well maintained. Always a good idea to bring water.
You will be riding under the guidance of a British Cycling trained Ride Leader and Breeze Champion.
Out of courtesy for others, please do not attend if you are showing any covid symptoms such as a persistent cough or high temperature, or if you have come into contact with anyone with these symptoms.
I look forward to meeting you and please do message me in advance if you have any questions at all. All the best, Ann
