This is a gentle, chilled/leisurely relaxed Sunday ride (and the forecast is looking good). The nature of the route being along the river, canal, cycling paths means that the pace will be slow (around 8mph). The route is fairly flat and fairly scenic but be prepared to give your bike a good wash afterwards!
We will take quiet roads and cycling paths to Greenford, cross a few fields (with cycling paths) and ride along the River Brent before picking up the canal (part of Capital Ring) for around 3 miles to take us into Brentford then Osterley Park (House and Gardens).
We will do a small loop of the Osterley Park then stop in the park for 1 hour. There will be facilities for your bike to be locked away in a container.
If you wish to visit the garden alone you can do so, the cost will be £7.60 (usually £8). If you are a National Trust Member then entry to the House and Gardens is free for you. For further details see
https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/london/osterley-park-and-house.
Stables Café in Osterley park is really nice and quaint but it does get quite busy. If you're someone who sometimes packs your own snacks/lunch this is probably a good day to do so, so you can spend more time in the park/grounds instead of queuing in the café.
We will return via Perivale and Horsenden Hill (which has an average gradient of 4.6%) but it's off the road in a cycling path and everyone can do this at their own pace then we will take quiet roads back to return back to Harrow Recreation Ground.
Please wear a helmet and ensure your bike is fit to do this ride (brakes working, tyres fully inflated and bring a spare inner tube). Do an M check prior to riding:

Pictures/short video clips may be taken which may be posted on my Strava account and/or Harrow CC's Facebook page.
If you are feeling unwell please do not join this ride, find another ride to attend when you are feeling better.
Thanks
