Gentle ride from the Maindy Centre to Pedal Power (via Penarth Marina and the Barrage).

Celebrating the Cardiff Women's Cycling Festival, we will depart from Maindy Leisure Centre on Crown Way. If you park a car there, on arrival register your car details with Better Leisure to avoid being fined. We will cycle along quiet Maindy Road then after the Lidl supermarket, join onto the segregated cycle route. This takes us past along Senghenydd Road past the Sherman Theatre until we reach St Andrew's Crescent. From there we will continue on the segregated cycle lane on Dumfries Place, Boulevard de Nantes and North Road. Near Cardiff Castle we will use the toucan bike crossing to access the Taff Trail.

We will cycle down the Taff trail, round the roads near the International Sports Village and over Pont y Werin, through Penarth Marina and over the barrage. Back through Cardiff Bay and back up the Taff Trail to Pedal Power where there will be an optional cafe stop.

Mostly traffic free, but some sections on quiet roads and one short section on a busier road. All types of cycles welcome

We will stop to admire the views and take photos, but will save the cafe stop until the end when we are back at Pedal Power.
