This is the third in a series of four rides which gradually increase in distance to build up confidence about riding a bike. Join us for all four rides or pick and choose the one(s) which are best for you. Our pace will be slow and steady to allow everyone to get to know each other and gain confidence cycling within a group. We’ll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider, so no-one is left behind, and can always rest when needed.
This ride is suitable for beginners or returners and is limited to 6.
This ride is circular. We will cycle through North Walls Park and quieter residential roads to join Worthy Road. We will be cycling through Barton Meadows towards Harestock and Littleton. We will then cycle along Stud Lane and will stop for coffee and cake at the Golf Academy, before returning to Winchester via the cycle path along Worthy Road. There are some gentle short hills on this route which you can ride, or walk, at your own pace. We will cycle at a gentle pace, and no one will be left behind. We will ride safely as a group and rest if needed.
Please check your bike is in good working order and conduct a pre-ride safety check on your bike
