This is the fourth in a series of four rides which gradually increase in distance to build up confidence about riding a bike. Join us for all four rides or pick and choose the one(s) which are best for you. Our pace will be slow and steady to allow everyone to get to know each other and gain confidence cycling within a group. We’ll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider, so no-one is left behind, and can always rest when needed.
This ride is suitable for beginners or returners who want to extend their cycling range and is limited to 6.
This cycle ride includes scenic Hampshire countryside. We will cycle through North Walls Park and quieter residential roads to join Worthy Road. We will head out of Winchester via School Lane and Springvale Road to Lovedon Lane and then to Easton. Halfway round we will stop in Easton for coffee and cake at the Chestnut Horse. This route has both quiet and busier roads. We will return via the Alresford Road and NCN23 to our start point. There are some gentle short hills on this route which you can ride at your own pace. We will cycle at a gentle pace, and no one will be left behind. We will ride safely as a group and rest if needed.
Please check your bike is in good working order and conduct a pre-ride safety check on your bike
