Fundamentals of Mountain Biking Ride - Trawsyfyndd circuit with a bit extra!

*** This Breeze bike ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, I also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. ****

Join Gwenan and I on this introductory mountain bike ride around Llyn Trawsfynydd and beyond. This ride starts near the old power station and cafe and includes some woodland tracks , dual use pavement, quiet roads and purpose built off road cycle track . This section is mostly traffic free. After completing the circuit of the lake there is an optional climb up to the old Roman ampitheatre and back along a grassy bridleway and stony track to the cafe. (where we can enjoy coffee and cake) .

This ride does have some significant climbs and descents some of which have loose stones and shale and it is yet to be decided which direction we ride, depending on the recce and the riders. The optional ride does have a short section on a busy main road which may include a short walk along a pavement to ensure a safe crossing

A mountain bike can be provided if you don't have a suitable bike

Helmets and gloves must be worn. Bring a waterproof jacket, inner tube, drink and snack
