Fundamentals of Mountain Biking Ride- Trawsfynydd Lake Loop

**** This Breeze bike ride is a beginner mountain bike ride brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, I also hold a valid 2-day outdoor first****

This route is a 14.5km scenic loop around Llyn Trawsfynydd. We will meet in the car park and set off along the lake side to the dam, followed by a short steep climb (don't worry, we can always get off and walk this bit as it is particularly scenic). After this the route is generally very gentle, encompassing a mix of tarmac cycle path/road, gravel track and a small section of single-track before arriving back at the visitors centre.

This route is suitable for mountain bikes or hybrids with off-road tyres only; if you're not sure about this, then please get in touch. All bikes should be in good working order.

Please note the following to bring with you on the ride-
-helmets are compulsory
-full fingered gloves are highly advised for riding off road
-glasses
-appropriate footwear should be worn, i.e trainers, no open-toed shoes.
-a waterproof layer is strongly recommended
-water & snacks
-spare inner tube for your bike
-any necessary medication.

We will finish at the cafe at the Canolfan a Caffi Prysor for anybody fancying a hot drink and slice of cake at the end.
