**** This Breeze bike ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, I also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. ****

This ride will explore part of the Gwydir Forest near Betws y Coed on forest tracks and easy trails. Starting higher in the forest we will climb and descend on a few loops. Returning via the road and forest tracks to Betws where we will have coffee. After which I will transfer you back to your cars in my van

Starting near Hafna MInes, Gwydir Forest we will climb on a forest loop around to LLyn Sarnau and Nant BH. Another loop will take us to Llyn Parc after which we will undertake the descent on the 'Shelf ' with fab views of the river and valley below. At the bottom we will ride along the B road (which can be quite busy with cars) for about 1.5 miles after which we will go back into the forest along tracks to Betws y coed . Around 80% of this ride is traffic free. There are a couple of long climbs.
We will enjoy coffee and cake and then go to collect your cars from the starting point

The forest tracks and trails do have some climbs and some sections have been affected by the storms and have rocky surfaces . The main descent has one steep section and a couple of sharp bends which we will take care on . Some rocky and muddy sections may be walked if you wish.
Mountain bikes or gravel bikes with chunky tyres are essential on this ride. If you don't have a suitable bike let me know and I can provide one

E bikes are welcome (but be prepared to wait for Alex and I)
Newbies are welcome . we wont leave anyone behind
Helmets, full finger gloves and warm clothes must be worn, glasses are recommended

We especially welcome newbies!
