**** This Breeze bike ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leaders. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, we also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. ****
Join us for an afternoon in the forest riding the Blue MinorTaur trail. Although this is intended as a beginners MTB ride and you don't need any technical skills to ride it, there will be sections of single track and some short climbs - so some experience on a MTB can help. You can always see how you feel after the skills session and swop onto a different ride - and there will be lots of support from your Breeze Champions and chances to stop along the way for a breather and to take photos.
For more detail on the MinorTaur:
"If you are already confident on a bike then the MinorTaur offers the perfect introduction to mountain biking. Graded blue the trail offers a reasonably flat and wide (no narrower than around 1.5m). You'll find a little climbing and descending, some fun berms and bumps but no really major climbs or descents."

>>>>>WHAT TO BRING<<<<<
- A bike in good working order & suitable for riding off road.
Ideally you want a MTB or a hybrid with some suspension and off road tyres.
It is possible, but will be less comfortable, with a gravel bike, and we would recommend at least 35mm tyres with good knobbly tread and some experience of riding off road on it.
If you're not sure, get in touch or take advantage of the free bike hire.
- A helmet is compulsory for this ride
- Full fingered gloves are essential. They usually have a good selection for sale in the shop at CyB if you don't have any
- Suitable footwear eg. trainers (no open toed shoes/ sandals)
- You may want to consider some eye protection - sunglasses would be fine
- Suitable clothes. Something that you will feel comfortable in - but no baggy trousers or clothes that could get caught or snagged. Eg. tracksuit bottoms would work well, layers are good. Consider the weather (a waterproof coat is a good idea).
-A small rucksack is useful
- A drink and any snacks for the ride (you'll find the miles more strenuous than the same road miles - so its worth having something to eat before the ride to keep you going)
- Any necessary medication (Epi pens, asthma inhalers etc)
- Money for the cafe
- A spare inner tube suitable for your tyres
If you've got any questions or wonder whether this is the ride for you - please do get in touch (
