Fundamentals of Mountain Biking Ride - E MTB Ride around Penmachno Forest

**** This Breeze bike ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, I also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. ****

Come and try e mountain biking with this introductory bike ride.
This is an E MTB bike ride. Don’t worry if you don’t have an E bike as I will supply one. We will ride along quiet lanes to explore the forest tracks and lanes around Penmachno. A very hilly area hence the E bikes!
We will start from our bike shop, Beics Betws, in the middle of Betws Y Coed where we will sort out the right bike for you and allow you to familiarise yourself with its operation. We will then follow lanes and bike tracks towards Penmachno heading up into the forest. After couple of loops in the forest we will descend into the village of Penmachno itself then back into the forest and down to Conwy Falls café for coffee and cake . After which we will return along lanes to Betws Y Coed. This ride is mainly on lanes, quite roads and forest track with just one or two short rocky sections which we may walk.

The route is suitable for those who have not ridden off road before and a chance to try out an E bike if you don’t have one.
Helmets and full finger gloves are essential and protective glasses are recommended . Please wear warm old clothes you don't mind getting muddy and bring a waterpoof jacket. You might want to bring a snack and a drink. Please note that there may not be any phone reception in this valley.
