Celebrating Basingstoke Parks Week!
If you are new to cycling, need more confidence on the roads or worried about keeping up in a group, then come and join us for an easy beginner ride. Breeze leaders will guide, advise and support you along the way to improve your confidence.
The route will be around 9 miles, mostly flat, riding at a slow leisurely pace - we won't leave anyone behind and we can make stops if needed. The route is a mixture of short roads, cycle paths and parks (there is gravel track to contend with in Crabtree park but it is hard track).
Please come along wearing a cycle helmet and clothing suitable for the weather. Don't forget a spare inner tube, puncture repair kit, lights if you have them and a bottle of water. Make sure your tyres are well inflated and your brakes / gears all work.
We look forward to meeting you and inspiring you to join us on more Breeze rides....
Please make sure you arrive so that you're ready to START the ride at 18:30 with time before that for a chat about the route.
If you're new to Breeze please arrive about 10 mins early so we can guide you through a bike check.
Meet in the car park at Oakridge Playing fields, opposite the Soldiers Return Pub, RG215RP just off the A339.
We'll go out through Oakridge into Eastrop Park, past the Hampshire Clinic, then through Old Basing and into Crabtree to go down the hill and into Blackdam, War Memorial Park to return to Oakridge.
