Car Park Richmond Health Centre, Moor Lane, North Hykeham, LN6 9AY - Near North Kesteven School

The ride will meet at the Richmond Health Centre, Moor Lane, North Hykeham and proceed along Moor Lane to the traffic Lights. We will cross and road and head out of North Hykeham on Chapel Lane towards Waddington. We will cycle along Meadow Lane until the road meets Brant Road where we will turn left and then right to take up all up Station Road and Hill Top (Waddington Hill). We will turn left onto Timm's Lane, right onto High Street then left onto Bar Lane which will bring us to the Sentry Cafe near the Post Office for a well earned drink. We will return the way we came Meadow Lane can be quite busy and Waddington Hill is a 10% climb of around 1 mile in length. It is only really steep for a small section but the climb is a significant one. The descent is tricky if wet This ride is planned for ladies who are reasonably confident on the road but are new to hills. No one will be left behind and everyone should only climb as far as they can. This is about learning how to tackle hills, how to use gears and how to pace yourself. As Sir Bradley Wiggins said 'Everyone walks sometimes'. Everyones efforts will be respected and everyone will wait at Hilltop to welcome each lady up the hill. Mandy will ride up with as many ladies as she can. This ride is all about gaining confidence and technique. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to allow for registration and bike checks. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather as the ride will take place if its raining. Recommend Road Bike/Hybrid with gears suitable for climbing
