Starting point

West Midlands
B38 8TG

Organised by Beacon Roads Cycling Club and led by British Cycling trained ride leaders this is a pleasant leisurely bike ride for all the family to enjoy. It would also suit those that are new to cycling or who just want an enjoyable and gentle traffic-free bike ride.
Starting from Kings Norton Park the route follows the traffic-free Rea Valley Cycle route all the way to Cannon Hill Park.
After riding through Kings Norton Park the route follows the cycle path across the Recreation Ground before briefly joining the canal towpath where you will be able to admire some urban art as well as seeing the odd heron or two!
After the canal the route returns to following the River Rea valley through Stirchley before entering Cannon Hill Park where we will stop at The Garden Tea Room for refreshments.
We will then tour the park before returning along the same traffic free paths back to Kings Norton.

A pleasant leisurely guided ride for all the family to enjoy. Meet in Kings Norton Park next to the Car Park on Westhill Road, B38 8TG. Please arrive 10 minutes early for a ride briefing and bike check.

The route follows the Rea Valley cycle path to Cannon Hill Park so is entirely traffic free.

There will be a stop at The Garden Cafe in Cannon Hill park before a tour of the park and a return to Kings Norton along the same traffic free paths.

Helmets are always recommended (and a requirement for any children attending). Always worth bringing a drink, some spares for mending a puncture, and a bank card if you want to purchase anything from the cafe. Its getting colder and wetter so please come prepared!

We especially welcome newbies!
