The Second Grantham Fat Lad at the Back Social Ride sees us head east for the flat-lands. Starting at Billingborough Cricket Club, there'll be a little climbing for the first six miles or so as we head west and then north to Dembleby. But after that, it's all nice and flat. We'll head up to Silk Willoughby - skirting the southern edge of Sleaford - before heading across to Heckington for Cake. We'll then be left with a seven mile roll back to the start. This ride is suitable for anyone with a Hybrid or Road bike and who fancies a couple of hours of sociable, stress-free pedalling and chatting to break up their Bank Holiday Weekend. We'll look to average around 12mph or so, but we'll be going at a pace the entire group is comfortable with.
