About the route
Starting point
Meet at the entrance to the main car park at Elvaston Castle - there is a parking charge if you arrive by car. There are also toilets by the entrance as well.
A steady 25 mile social road ride along some rolling south Derbyshire lanes, from Elvaston Castle out to Willington and back via Repton.
A couple of hills to make you puff a bit, but aiming for a 10-12 mph average pace. We always wait for the lad or lass at the back, no one gets dropped, and there will be a café stop to properly catch our breath,so bring some money for coffee and cake.
