FLAB Social Ride Derby 05-08-2017

Lets try the other side of Derby......a slightly hiller ride taking in some of the lovely lanes between Derby and Ashbourne, often forgotten and usually fairly quiet for traffic.

Starting from the Mundy Play Centre car park on Markeaton, I'm afraid it starts with a long steady drag across the A52 and up onto Radbourne Common, before a long run out westwards along the appropriately named Long Lane, before we loop south and east to work our way back. And that long drag at the start becomes a much more pleasant end to the ride!

Will suit more confident riders on road bikes or hybrids. We'll go at the pace of the slowest and stop to admire the scenery/catch our breath at the top of hills.

Subject to numbers and space, there are a couple of café options towards the end of the ride - you'll have earned it! Bring a sense of fun, some café money, a working bike, a helmet, and a spare inner tube to fit your tyres.
