Starting point

Derbyshire
DE75 7GX

An undulating route around the trails and bridleways between Heanor and Strelley, starting from Shipley Country Park and taking the Nutbrook Trail to Stapleford before cutting across through Trowell to Strelley for a café stop, before looping back round to Shipley via the much loved MFN hill!

The tracks and trails have all been surfaced in recent years, but you and your bike will get dirty. Definitely not one for a road bike, but mountain bikes, CX bikes and hybrids with some grip in the tyres should be fine. The hills are mainly long but gentle, apart from MFN which is quite a nice walk anyway. As always we'll go at a pace to suit the person at the back, no one will get dropped or left behind, although its the best part of 20 miles and probably 2 hours in the saddle.

Bring a working bike - and a spare inner tube to fit your tyres - a working helmet, and a working sense of humour. Cash and/or cards will be needed for parking at Shipley and the cafe. It will be February, so dress for the weather to try and keep warm and dry - if it looks too bad the ride may be cancelled.
