Starting point

We ride on mostly quiet country lanes from Whiteley towards Botley, Curdridge, Swanmore, then head up Hampton Hill to Corhampton Golf Club before heading down the hill to the Bucks Heads at Meonstoke. There are some sections on busier roads, but should be OK in the early evening. We will stop at the pub for around an hour for eats before picking up the Meon Valley Trail (old railway line) back to Wickham, then head back to Whiteley.

Approx. 25 miles on mix of tarmac and off road which can be a little soft so recommend offroad tyres (gravel bikes, mtb or hybrid). Elevation 1060 ft.

As it will probably be dark when we return, front and rear lights are a must along with helmet, basic tools for repairs plus spare inner tube(s).

Please bring funds for food at the pub (Bucks Head, Meonstoke if you want to check the menu).
