Whitbarrow Rd, Cheshire WA13 9AQ This is the postcode for the nearby Lymm Hotel. Park along the road then ride back to the signposted trail and Ranger Station.
Pack lashings of ginger beer and a sense of adventure as we head out to Spike Island along the Trans Pennine Trail from Lymm. Maybe leave Timmy the dog at home though! The trail is flat and traffic free apart from two short sections on the road. Suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes, though a road bike would be ok as long as you don't mind it getting a bit muddy and juddering along occasionally. The route is suitable for children, but the distance may not be.
