We will cycle along by the River Ancholme to Cadney and Howsham. The route then takes us towards Bigby where there is a short climb before we head down into Barnetby and up the other side to the A18 towards Wrawby and back to Brigg for our stop at the Cafe. After a break will will head towards the river near Lidl and then cycle off road to Broughton Bridge and on to Wressle, There is a short and steady climb through Broughton Woods before we ride through Broughton and on to Scawby where we turn right and ride up a slight incline to Greetwell. We will ride about a mile before turning into Memory Lane which is traffic free until we get to Sturton after crossing the A15. From Sturton we will ride back to our starting point in Brigg.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

A ride with plenty of variety. Everything from off road tracks (suitable for road bikes though) to hills, descents, busy roads and quiet lanes.

There are mainly sections along country lanes, some shorter sections along busier roads and a couple of off road parts of the route along the side of the River Ancholme to Broughton Bridge and a couple of miles along Memory Lane.

We will stop for a break at Harrison's Hideaway

You will need to wear a helmet for your safety and bring a face mask for the cafe stop and emergencies. Make sure you have an inner tube for your bike and some money or card for the stop if you want to buy any refreshments. You may want to bring a lightweight lock for your bike at the cafe.

Everyone is welcome if they are happy to ride this distance at a steady pace.
