You need to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get a boarding pass to get on the ferry which you get by showing your Merseyside Bus Pass or Saverway.
If you decide to pay cash at the terminal, I'm almost certain you will pay more!
James Street Station is the closest place where you can purchase the Saverway

This is for any type of bike and is about 35 Miles (from Seacombe Ferry Terminal)

This route takes us from Seacombe to Willaston and then back to Seacombe.

You can either use the ferry or the train but you need to be at Seacombe ferry terminal for 1020 at the latest because that is the time the ride starts proper.

Start time at the ferry terminal, Pier Head will be 0945 as the boat leaves at 1000 so don’t be late. If you don’t have a travel pass, it is cheaper to buy a £6.00 ( I think) Saverway style ticket before you get to the ferry. Make sure it covers the ferry because not all do.
From Seacombe we head to Willaston via New Brighton, Leasowe, Meols, Saughall Massie, Greasby, Irby, Heswall, Thornton Hough, Raby and then Willaston.
Lunch will be at the Willaston Station where there is a café.

From Willaston, we head back to the ferry via Eastham Rake, Eastham, Bromborough, Port Sunlight, New Ferry, Woodside and then Seacombe Ferry.
