PE2 5UU

This ride is 10 miles there and 10 miles back, but we plan to stay for a few hours in Whittlesea. This ride is mostly cycle paths. We will leave Rutland Cycles in Ham Lane and take cycle paths to Ferry Meadows and then to Peterborough city centre following cycle route along the river. We will then pick up the cycle path to Whittlesea which runs behind Key Theatre and along embankment , past Flag Fen to Millenium Bridge. From there the route continues along cycle path to Whittlesea. The Straw Bear Festival will be in full swing. See strawbear.org. We will decide on the day what time to return to Ferry Meadows. Ride will be 20 miles in total. Might be an idea to bring sandwiches. Two churches open up for soup and and sandwiches and all the cafes and pubs are open but it can be very busy.

This is an urban route on cycle paths. All traffic free.

Hybrids or mountain bikes only

coffee stop at end of ride .

Please bring a spare inner tube and money for coffee and cake

First-timers welcome!
