Lovely easy ride from Barton, across the Humber Bridge with excellent views (on a clear day), down to Hessle Foreshore, following the track alongside the Humber to North Ferriby with a coffee stop at The Old Ticket Office at North Ferriby Station. Then a climb (Not too challenging but we will wait and regroup at the top!) up to Swanland and back towards Hessle and over the bridge to Barton.
The track along the Humber is unsurfaced, but not too rough, doable on a road bike, that's what I use (but maybe not a full on racer) but more comfortable on a mountain bike, CX bike or Hybrid or with fatter tyres.
This is an easygoing ride and we would aim at an average of 10-12 mph but it will depend on the abilities of the group - no-one will be left behind!
