A fantastic circular around the city covering routes of other rides to celebrate our anniversary. Covering over some varied tarrain .

We head out towards rose hill rise in cantley around the outskirts of the racecourse and into sandal beat woods circling around and over to the spectacular pit spoil in armthorpe. We encounter the first hill over the pit towards the village of armthorpe onto parkway . We then go over fiddlers bridleway which brings us out on gatewood lane in the lovely village of Branton .we then head south on our circular towards picturesque villages of Auckley Blaxton and the very scenic village of finnenley . We go down old bawtry road which runs parallel to the Doncaster airports runway . We then go over to the village of Austerfield cycling around the side of the bawtry golf course thru some lovely countryside. We then go thru part of the mosaic park in Austerfield linking us into kingswood onto the great north road heading north towards Rossington common going thru the grounds of the mount pleasent hotel. We cross over stripe road into Rossington village we cycle around the base of the old Rossington pit stack into holmescarr great woods. We head out past the Amazon warehouses and the Yorkshire wildlife trust nature reserve and reach our cafe stop at the beautiful Annabelle’s cafe. We head Off carrying on the circular towards the dearne valley bridleway which takes us over to the spectacular viaduct which spans over the river Don onto the trans pennine way .we follow the river Don all the way to lower sprotbrough the lovely setting near the boat inn pub. We follow the river Don branching away from the TPT heading past the hexthrope Rowing Club heading past the prison bring us out onto St Mary’s bridge , we then head back to tenpin following the cycle infrastructure around the Doncaster university and magnificent minster and across the beautiful town fields .

We cycle on bridleways , woodland trails , shared pavement, farm trails , some quiet lanes some dirt trails and tarmaced surfaces.

We will be stopping at classic cafe bawtry caravans , Annabelle’s cafe around the Yorkshire wildlife trust area.plenty of opportunities to stop for photos .

Helmets are advisable for this ride .bring cash/ card for potential purchases etc . Bring tools and spare inner tubes for the possible puncture problem. Bike tyre pump , bike lock .
